What do electrolytes have to do with focus?

Some of you might look at our product and think “huh, I’ve seen other products like this, but none of them have electrolytes.” As it turns out, the electrolytes are a very intentional component of our formula.

How do electrolytes complement a nootropic formula?

Neurons communicate through electrical signals, and this is where electrolytes really shine. These charged minerals help generate and transmit these electrical signals. A balance of electrolytes ensures that neurons can fire and communicate efficiently, which is fundamental for cognitive processes like focus and reaction time.

If electrolytes are so important, why are they all of a sudden so popular?

The body operates in a delicate balance between fluids and electrolytes. While some fluids happen to contain electrolytes, like natural spring water, most of the fluids we’re consuming in the modern era are completely absent of them.

Reverse-osmosis water is the status quo - not just in bottled water, but energy drinks and coffee as well.

Electrolytes complement caffeine

Caffeine is a diuretic, potentially causing dehydration if electrolytes aren't replenished. This can lead to brain fog and decreased cognitive function. By ensuring you're consuming electrolytes, you're not just replacing lost fluids, but also maintaining the mineral balance that's crucial for cognitive function.

When your electrolyte balance is optimal, the neurons can respond more efficiently to the stimulatory effects of caffeine, potentially making alertness and focus more pronounced.

The brain-body connection

While not directly related to cognitive focus, it's worth noting that electrolytes are vital for muscle function. If your body is physically more alert and less fatigued, thanks to proper muscle function supported by electrolytes, it's easier for your mind to concentrate and stay on task.
